Homework due: Science lesson Tuesday 9 August
Using what you know about simple machines create one simple machine of your own, from scratch. It has to be solely made by you.
You will be presenting it to a group. It will be put on display in the classroom and used as inspiration for the machines we will be making later in the term.
Mrs Ward, I have made a wheel and axle using a straw and piece of circular cardboard, is there anything else you would like me to do with my simple machine? Thanks Henry.
ReplyDeleteNo, that sounds perfect Henry
ReplyDeleteWhen I come back to school on Monday, should I make a slideshow about Borneo with my pictures?
ReplyDeleteHi Phoebe,
DeleteHope you had a wonderful time. You might want to make your slide show at home. There is a lot of work for you to catch up on for Reading and Inquiry so you won't have time at school. Have a look at the science task and see if you can make your simple machine by Tuesday too. We are doing impromptu speeches at the moment and then our other speeches. Have a think about a rich question for Inquiry related to Rio pollution, Drugs in sport, keeping athletes and tourists safe, and I'll help you write your 6 subsidiary questions on Monday. We are looking forward to seeing you. Lots of girls have been away sick for ages so you're not the only one who has missed things.
Ok thanks! Sorry I didn't mean to write my previous comment that way, I already had a slideshow from my trip that I was talking about. I will make the machine this weekend. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteAlso is there anything I should do/put on my device for BYOD? Thank you!
ReplyDeleteBring your slide in for us to watch on Monday. Mr Stickland will sort your device on Monday. You might even be able to see him before school if he's in his office.
ReplyDeleteOk thanks!
ReplyDeleteI've made a gripper thing, similar to tongs out of two rulers, two elastic bands and a pencil is that okay.
ReplyDeleteSounds great - what is a gripper thing? Do you mean tongs?
ReplyDeleteHi Mrs Ward,
ReplyDeleteIt's Emilia I have made a wedge for a door from some bits that I found in my grandpas garage. Is this what we needed to do?
Hi! I was just wondering what the time limit is on the speech? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteAim for 3 minutes
