I would like you to create your own Kahoot quiz. Google 'get kahoot' and enter your username and password. Your topic is 'The Changing Face of Auckland' (our Inquiry). Use information you have gathered from your own research and from the newspaper articles we have already looked at.
Checklist:
* at least 8 questions
* correct punctuation
* correct spelling
Please have your quiz completed by Monday.

The Biggest Reader

Please keep a reading log of what you read each night - the name of the book and the time you start and finish reading. Please total the hours for each night and then do a final total ready for Friday. Happy reading:)

Week 2:

Excellent effort by everyone with last week's homework. I was very impressed by the ideas some of you came up with. Well done to those of you who went the extra mile and extended yourselves by thinking critically.

As part of our Inquiry, 'The changing face of Auckland', I would like you to create a family tree that demonstrates your knowledge of your heritage. Using card no bigger than A3 be original and express yourself visually. You may include different languages if they are relevant.
We will be discussing the Inquiry on Tuesday in class and completing some ignition activities. The completion of your family tree ties in with Auckland and immigration which we will also be discussing.

All homework is to be completed and returned to school on Friday - absolutely no exceptions

Week 1:

All homework is to be completed and returned to school on Friday - absolutely no exceptions

All about you: Decide on a container that expresses your personality and fill it with items that give us clues about you and your hobbies/likes. If you bring it to school before Friday please keep it hidden to keep your ideas original.

News article: Read the article then give it to a parent or guardian to read through. Discuss the points relevant to you and identify which things you can do at home to help you through this very busy year. Please write your decisions neatly in your homework book along with the date, a heading and who you had your discussion with. Please get them to sign your work.

Aquapass:
Please discuss with your parents the possibility of them being a parent help for Aquapass. Our lessons are on Wednesdays from 11.15am - 12.00pm. We will be picked up from school at 10.55am and will be picked up from Sacred Heart pools at 12.20pm.
We need 6 parents for every Aquapass session and will not be able to go if we don't have the correct ratio of parents and swimmers each week.
