EXAM CONDITION COMPETITION DATE: 1st December BLOCK 1

  • Can use computers (T must be checking the entire time, if they click on ANYTHING else, their essay is not counted)
  • No dictionaries
  • Can hand write if they choose
  • No talking
  • If they finish early, they can write, draw or read, computer is SHUT and no getting out of seat or talking
  • A5 notes (one sided) - bullet points

Question: Discuss both sides of the moral issues in the film The Truman Show and how characters react to these issues

Success Criteria:
  • Describe what the moral challenges are in the film ‘The Truman Show’
  • Discuss the characters who support The Truman Show and want it to continue as is
  • Discuss the characters who are morally against The Truman Show and why
  • State your overall opinion of the moral challenges presented in the film
  • Summarise your ideas

Message from SHS Graduation Committee

Towards the end of the term we are going to host an end of year graduation. The students will have the chance to send in a photo with an attached message and these will be presented in a PowerPoint that will run throughout the night. To send us your message you must follow the guidelines below  and email the message and picture to either Francesca.k@shs.school.nzAmelia.e@shs.school.nzRotem.e@shs.school.nz or Abdulla.f@shs.school.nz.  

Here are the guidelines for the messages:

• Three photos maximum for each tribute

• 4 tributes maximum per person

• Example  - Dear _____ I can wait to be in collage with you/ will miss you heaps next year. From ______

• Nothing inappropriate
